There is one catch with free software packages like TrueSpace where the original producer has released the software for free consumption but discontinued it as a product: It’s up to the supporting community to create their own patches and work around to resolve and bugs.
TrueSpace 7.61 sufferers from a nasty bug, where the background of the Link Editor Window is not erased when objects are moved around in the Link Editor Window. So I have created a fix that can be found on my
Download pages. It’s not perfect but it make the Link Editor usable.
Installation and Usage
1. Download the plugin from the
Downloads page, unzip to somewhere handy, and run setup.exe. This will install the plugin and pre-requisites (don't be clever and re-distribute just the the rsx file).
Note: You may need to run the Setup program as Administrator.
2. Start TrueSpace.
3. Open the Package Manager.
3. Right click anywhere on the Package Manager and click ‘Install New’
4. After selecting the plugin from the location from where you choose to install it to (default: C:\Program Files (x86)\DAWD Engineering\TrueSpace Win7 Fix), right click on it in the package manager and then click ‘Load’.
5. Done, the plug-in is running and will run each time you load TrueSpace
